  I have two sons, and my older son has been in St. Andrews for almost five years. My younger son has been there for three. During our time with the school we have had many wonderful experiences along with a couple of frictions. What has been outstanding is the schools effort to better and provide the children and the families with an environment that is both friendly and superior in educational standards and provides an excellent education. Both the head of the school and the head of the lower school, Jordan Love have been instrumental in both my sons’ education as well as establishing and maintaining a good relationship. I have searched and looked into the alternatives and can frankly tell you that this is one of the most outstanding schools in the area, with superior educational skills, and some of the most friendly staff you will find in a school system. the staff truly show their love for children.Their Chaplain Mrs. Slater has been warm, giving, and I have noticed her compassion to make the chapel’s environment suitable for children. My children will more than likely stay with St. Andrews and I can tell you the availability and help the school has provided me been one of the most valuable resources at my disposal. The school contains a nice library; although small but very equipped. school itself is also equipped with up to date equipment. The settings and the set ups are extremely organized. The staff are passionately friendly with children and are giving . There are many school functions which bring the family, children and the school together, and give the family and the children a sense of being a part of the community. The school has drop offs and pick-ups in the drive through area and is well organized and quick, you will not wait more than a few minutes to drop off and pick up your kids. The school also has hired different teachers for different purposes; including art teacher Mr. Pyle whom is extremely fun and the kids love him as well as the music teacher, which ever since coming on board, has provided the kids with wonderful performances etc. This school has two campuses. The lower campus is located in the Potomac village and is convenient in terms of access, driving through parking, and is also secure in terms of being locked down throughout the school. The upper campus is less than a mile away and is a larger campus and it starts from the third grade and up, whereas the lower school has only from Pre School to second grade. after school programs are so interesting and attractive to children and convenient to families that we have almost registered for every single one of them throughout the years. They have cooking and yoga classes for all age and art; engineering, design thinking, as well and my kids have loved all of those classes. They also have P.E. classes like soccer and lacrosse. Although the school is an Episcopal school it has presented diversity and kindness towards all groups. I give credit to the chaplain Slater and Jordan love the head of lower school for that effort. They also have extremely enjoyable Thursday prayers. Overall I rate this school with nine stars out of ten only because there is always room for improvements. i will commend you to see this school before making a decision where your children will go to school.

  in 1980 at st. andrews i met and started dating my 9th grade english teacher. the relationship went on for 8 years. but like every pedophile, child relationship it ended badly.
